Good news, everyone!

Baton Rogue Metro Council has approved an ordinance amendment to permit breweries to sell up to 10% of their product in a tap room environment. This means that Tin Roof can move forward with their planned tap room construction, which is great news for them.

Chafunkta's newest beer, to be debuted at the Grapes and Grain Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser on August 23, has just been revealed to be a cream ale style. It will be called Kingfish Ale and it has an awesome looking graphic:

In other upcoming event news, the much-anticipated LASPCA fundraiser event, New Orleans On Tap, will be happening on Saturday, Sept. 28 (at the tail end of the LA Craft Brewers' Week). They have ticket packages and such for sale, check it out here. All the breweries in progress in the area should be there, so you can try their beers and let them know what you think!

Last but not least, put the Bayou Beer Fest on your calendar- it's November 16 in Houma. Also a fundraiser, proceeds from this event will benefit our nation's veterans.
