New Belgium out on draft on Monday!

The hubbub of ACBW plus the fact that we are already drinking a bunch of New Belgium after its release a month or so ago has made me forget that New Belgium isn't on draft yet here in Louisiana.

On Monday, that's about to change, 'cause New Belgium is rolling out some kegs!

At the Avenue, they'll be pouring: Shift Pale Lager, Sunshine Wheat, Ranger IPA, Fat Tire, the Lips of Faith- Brewery Vivant Biere de Garde collaboration (one keg only,) and Lips of Faith Biere de Mars (one keg only.)

Here's the story on the Lips of Faith Biere de Garde, from New Belgium's website
New Belgium, and Michigan’s own, Brewery Vivant, each stuck a hand in the mitten for this wonderful collaboration. A bright Biere de Garde with a pale copper sheen, this beer is brewed with pale malt, and some oats for creaminess. Hopped with Sorachi Ace to reinforce the citrus bite from the bergamot addition, the Brewery Vivant Collaboration is refreshing, and strong. A hint of clove from Vivant’s house yeast brings a spice bite to the extra dry finish. Enjoy with friends.
The Lips of Faith Biere de Mars appears to be their spring beer, brewed since 2000:
With earthy tones of ripe mango and lemon verbena, this bottle-conditioned ale reflects the hearty character of the southern Belgian and northern French countrysides. Brewed with barley, oats and wheat malt, Biere de Mars' celestial orange hue inspired the planetary play on words. Brettanomyces, a wild yeast strain, added for bottle-conditioning creates a refreshingly sour flash across the palate. Lemon peel coupled with the lemon verbena imparts fruitlike character and a citrusy finish.
I'm definitely excited to try the 2 Lips of Faith beers while they last, but I'm also glad that New Belgium is going to available on draft. I think it makes it more accessible to more customers and it will continue to make various bar and restaurant tap handles gloriously diverse!

UPDATE: Got some more info on the Monday wider release of New Belgium from Brenton Day, author of the Baton Rouge based The Ale Runner blog: "And don't forget that six packs will also be available Monday, including Rampant DIPA, 1554 black lager and Rolle Bolle summer seasonal, in addition to what we already have."

And Vanessa Gomes, Craft Brand Manager at Champagne Beverage on the Northshore also adds: "Lots of draft releases on the Northshore too! Columbia Street Tap RoomSpeckled Ts, and Mariner's Inn on Monday. The Chimes Covington & The Barley Oak on Tuesday!"
